Portugal
Travel to Portugal
Portugal has three international airports at Lisbon, Porto and Faro and these are served by many major airlines including a number of budget airlines with flights available from across the UK.
Getting around Portugal
Portugal has a fast and modern train service with the Alfa Pendular running regular trains to major hubs such as Faro, Lisbon and Porto. However beyond the large cities, the train service is fairly limited and you'll probably end up using buses to get between smaller destinations. Whilst this is a much less comfortable or speedy way to travel, it is also cheaper and more regular.
Travelling further afield
Trains link Portugal to Spain with regular services running between Lisbon and Madrid and Porto and Vigo. There are plenty of coach services running short and long haul trips across the border and it's also possible to get a direct coach to Paris.
