We found some incredibly cheap flights to Rome this week with Ryanair so we thought we'd see if we could find some bargain city centre accommodation and put together a great short break package.
And boy did we manage it (if we say so ourselves!) with flights in September from as little as £34 return and hotels in the city centre from as little as £58 per person for 2 nights!
The cheapest flights we found were with Ryanair from Luton to Rome Ciampino - a midweek option from Monday to Wednesday - with Friday to Sunday weekend options starting at £72.
On the hotels front Booking.com have budget city centre hotels starting at just £58 per person for a 2 night stay at the B&B Viviroma, 3 star hotels starting at £81 at the Milo and 4 star hotels starting at £86 at the Hotel Turner.
If you fancy blowing all the savings you made on the flights and a bit more you could even splash out £190 per person on 2 nights at the 5 star Boscolo Aleph Luxury hotel or £201 on 3 nights!
