When to go to

St Lucia

St Lucia Weather

St Lucia has two seasons; the dry season from December to June, and the rainy season from July to November. Although it rains nearly every day in the rainy season the rain rarely lasts long and soon the sun is out again so it's certainly worth considering a holiday then as the prices are much lower. Temperatures remain fairly constant all year round at about 27°C, although humidity is higher in the rainy season.

St Lucia's Tourist Season

January to April sees the peak of the tourist season with resorts filling up and prices the highest. Outside these times the prices are lower and the crowds much smaller, although you'll need to plan excursions more carefully to take rainy hours into account. Hurricanes are also possible during the rainy season and whilst this shouldn't deter you from travelling be sure to listen to locals' advice on the weather.

Events in Saint Lucia

The Saint Lucia Carnival in July is the biggest event on the island as people flock to Castries from far and wide to join the party. Carnival in February is also a huge event with costumes, food and dancing, street parades and music. Combined with the independence celebrations, February is a great month to go to Saint Lucia. Also, every Friday there are huge street parties in Gros Islet and Anse-le-Raye, with Dennery offering a Saturday night alternative so you can party whenever you go.
