Singapore Dollar. The banking area around Raffles Palace offers the best rates, with small traders a close second. Banks tend to offer the worst rates. Many locations like to hoard their small bills so be sure to stipulate you need small bills before parting with your cash

The national language is Malay, but there are no fewer than four official languages, with English, Mandarin and Tamil completing the set. The majority of Singaporeans are bilingual with English being the preferred second language.

Entry:
