While you'll struggle to purchase direct flights to Tallahassee, you won't have any trouble buying indirect flights – you'll be able to choose from a number of major UK airports to fly out from. A variety of airlines such as US Airways, KLM, Delta and American Airlines all offer indirect flights, so shop around to ensure you find the cheapest deal. You'll fly into Tallahassee Regional Airport which is located around seven kilometres away from the city.
Once you arrive at the airport you'll have various options to help you reach your final destination. There will be lots of cabs waiting outside for you or you'll be able to pick up the local bus. It's worth checking with your hotel to see if they offer a shuttle service to and from the airport.
The city's served by a good public transport network so you'll have no problem exploring during your holiday in Tallahassee. Keep in mind that routes may be limited after dark and on Sundays. Pop along to the supermarket and you'll find some local specialities to buy. One park that's well worth a visit is the Alfred B. Maclay State Gardens. These notable grounds boast 18 historic buildings, making it the perfect place to spend the day.
