Venice Weather
Venice has great weather with hot summers and mild winters. The summer temperatures generally reach just under 30°C most days, whilst winter temperatures very rarely drop below freezing, normally hovering around 6°C in the daytime. Rainfall is likely all year round but is rarely heavy. Although, October to February is known as the flooding season - so you might want to bring an umbrella if you're travelling then.
Venice Tourist Season
Venice is popular all year round and there is not a very well defined tourist season. However, the months between Easter and October tend to be the busiest. During this time booking hotels in Venice can get hard and attractions are busy. Our advice is to book well in advance if you're planning a summer Venice holiday. Carnevale and the period around Christmas are also busy times with rooms going at a premium. For the best deals, October to February is a great time to go, although the chances of rain and floods are marginally higher. For the best of both worlds try spring and autumn.
