Dam Square

Although the royal palace is still under renovations the square it a great place to hang out. There's always something going on and you can choose from there to go to the shops or the red light district or the canals!

So busy and bustling, and with plenty of overpriced new items to sift through, but there are some real gems here to be found, especially by way of crockery and smaller furniture items. I love trying to find that bargain amongst the other people and the dross.

Albert Cuyp Market

This busy and bustling market has practically everything you could ever want! Clothes and souvenirs abound for the first part but then this gives way to all manner of edible treats from local cheeses to fish to sweet treats like chocolate and waffles. De Pjip is a great neighbourhood and well worth visiting.
