I've been to Amsterdam twice now and am always on a budget so have never made it to any of the Museumplein big museums...but this is a little free gem. It shows portraits of the most wealthy citizens thruough the ages and is really very interesting.

A fabulous museum, definitely a hidden gem, it was so quiet when we went even though the Alexander the Great exhibition currently on boasts the largest russian collection ever outside russia! Great artwork, lovely place.
