We wanted to experience the weather in the area but away from one of the heavily touristy areas and we ended up here. A lovely historical fishing village with beautiful beaches and some lovely Lycian ruins in the vicinity.

It's about a 4 hour transfer from Antalya Airport but totally worth it.

Last time I visited I went to the Olypmos Park, but this time we decided to visit the village itself, to see the ancient sights there, the theatre, a temple, a basilica and defensive walls are all there to be explored.

where, when, how, web
About a 2-hour drive out of antalya but the scenery is great and the drive isn't too bad

High up in the mountains there is an ancient city that not even alexander the great could conquer. The ruins are in really good condition and it's a thoroughly interesting experience to be up there, especially if you can catch it on a quiet day. Great views back to Antalya too, but not for the faint of heart it's quite an uphill hike to see it all.

follow E87 out of town and then look out for the car park, the rest you have to do on foot!
