This traditional home was relocated to Bangkok to show off the way that things are done in the countryside of Chiang Mai. A really lovely quaint place that gives you a real insight into 'normal' thai life away from the Bangkok noise.

I walked this route with mixed feelings...it would be awesome to have a rainforest right there since it's not that often you get to see a rainforest. But seeing all the people who live there, surely they can't uproot them??

I'd seen pictures but wasn't prepared for the scale of this temple! Huge reclining Buddha, beautiful grounds, it's the stuff exotic holidays are made for.

This is a delightful spot with the muslim community lending the area a totally different feel to other bits of Bangkok. Definitely a must-see.

Wow, this is the stuff of dreams! A quaint street with apothecaries and herbalists, displays of pills and all manner of healers. Look out for the amulet market too, it's a rabbit warren of stalls but once you get past the madness you can really enjoy it.
