Bangkok is full of things to see and do but you must make time for a visit to one of the floating markets. I went to the Damnoen Saduak which was totally chaotic and so fun. I ate delicious food and bought plenty of fruit, great for a weary backpacker!

TheChatuchak weekend market is THE Bangkok market. It is absurdly large un navigable and crowded. You'll never see the same stall twice and chances are you won't manage to buy anything at all with such a dizzying selection to choose from. There are all the things you'd expect to find in a Thai market- groceries, meat, veg and household products as well as a lot of speciality goods - silk, antiques etc and some more bizarre items like snakes, fighting cocks and weapons. Good luck!

My girlfriends and I had an absolute blast at this market, one of the biggest in the world! Whatever you want to buy is on sale. Great fake designer items, souvenirs, food, clothes, animals... quite literally anything and everything. Go early though becuase it does get busy.

my friends and I heard about this shopping destination through other travellers and we weren't disappointed, they have everything and a variety of kitchen sinks too! plan to spend they day if you're shopaholics like us and take a bag for all your purchases. just make sure you get a map from the information point else you might get lost forever.

Even though the Kho San road can feel downright sleazy at times, its definitely worth seeing and you can pick up some incredible bargains there. The best deals are probably with the tailors.
