Siam's first museum, there's not a lot of style going on here but the colection is great! Seek out the statues by the rear stairs for a real slice of history with some very important religious relics!

Simultaneously both the weirdest and one of the most intriguing and imaginative places i've ever been. You'll first see the HUGE three-headed elephant on the roof and it doesn't get much less mad from there! Definitely get a guide and you'll be taken into the crazy world of the creator.

A double hit of culture here, with some exquisite art as well as it being housed in an 18th century palace. I really loved the examples of Thai architecture too, all round it's graet here.

This is a really interesting sight. Its located about 30km outside Bangkok and has been described as the world's largest open air museum. It's a recreation of the great buildings and monuments of ancient Siam arranged in the shape of the kingdom, with each monument in its correct place geographically. A really interesting day excursion.

Arranged as a whole series of shops and other settings with the appropriate items from the collection this is one big nostalgia trip for those in the know (like my guide, good friend of over 20 yrs who grew up there) and an eye opener to the way of life of real people in the recent past. Fascinating place.
