National Museum

A double hit of culture here, with some exquisite art as well as it being housed in an 18th century palace. I really loved the examples of Thai architecture too, all round it's graet here.

Wat Phra Kaew

Alongside its neighbour the Grand Palace this was the most spectacular sight in Bangkok for me. Not even the elbow-to-elbow wars some tourists were engaging in to get the best photos, the spires were stunning and I just loved it there.

Simply stunning, the most lovely and intricate buildings you could ever hope to have access to. The interiors you were allowed in are amazing, I can't imagine waht it would be like to live there! It's popular, it's crammed with tourists but you really shouldn't miss this one.

The Grand Palace

When you visit Bangkok definitely you should visit this place. Grand palace is cities famous landmark. It was built in the 1782 and for 150 years the home of Thai king. Within its walls were also the Thai war ministry, state departments, and even the mint. With in the palace complex there are several impressive buildings and Temple of Emerald Buddha. Thai Kings stopped living in the palace around the turn of the twentieth century.

Grand Palace

Bangkok is an amazing city, with a feeling and vibe that is so different than most of the other Asian capitals. When I visited, I really enjoyed seeing the Grand Palace, as both the building itself and the grounds were breathtaking. While different buildings are built using different architectural styles, when taking as a cohesive hole, they all still seem to belong together.
