Wat Pho

I'd seen pictures but wasn't prepared for the scale of this temple! Huge reclining Buddha, beautiful grounds, it's the stuff exotic holidays are made for.

This temple boasts a lot with the tallest vihaan, the tallest indoor sitting buddha, the highest roof and the biggest bell so we just had to go see it! A real highlight!

We had to go here because of the name, and we were actually very pleased we did! It's one of Bangkok's most important temples, and in my opinion the most beautiful. It has a serenity to it that is very pleasing.

Wat Phra Kaew

Alongside its neighbour the Grand Palace this was the most spectacular sight in Bangkok for me. Not even the elbow-to-elbow wars some tourists were engaging in to get the best photos, the spires were stunning and I just loved it there.
