This is the place that everyone will tell you to go in Barcelona. Unfortunately, it's the place where all the other tourists in Barcelona have been told to go. Everything is overpriced and its packed with street performers, prostitutes and people trying to sell tacky souvenirs. Really over rated and not at all representative of the rest of the city.

Olympic Harbour

This area came up in a big way in the early 90s and is a really intriguing spot. Its most notable features are the massive stadium the twin skyscrapers and the bizarre telecom tower which was supposedly inspired by a sketch of a praying man... Also look out for Gehry's enormous steel fish. The dining and nightlife options here are great.
