Parc Joan Miro

Boasting the phenomenal Dona i Ocell (Woman and bird) sculpture as well as some wonderful planting and landscaping, this park is just a joy to visit. You can also go to the Miro foundation but I prefer just to spend my time here.

Parc de la Ciutadella

The Parc de la Ciutadella is the largest area of parkland in central Barcelona and has some lovely little bits of artwrk in it, a lake which you can hire a boat to row around on, and a zoo. This is also where the Catalan Parliament sits. All in all its a lovely place to go to chill out.

Park Guell

Possibly my favourite place in the world, this park is a treaure trove of great things to see. Gaudi has imagined perfection in my mind from vaulted arches to the huge long benches and Drac at the front steps. Plenty of places to sit and eat or drink too so you can really take your time to appreciate the great views over the city as well.

Park Castell de l'Oreneta

posted by ycaldwell on 12 November 2010 at 10:18

My family and I loved our day out to this huge park. Named after the castle, there's little of it left now but there's still fun to be had pretending to storm it! I loved the variety of trees and shrubs growing, so different to at home, and the picnic areas were great too we spent a really fun day here, just a shame we couldn't get on the model railway since it only runs on sundays.

where, when, how, web
carrer de montevideo 45, easiest to drive but i guess ther's other ways to get there!
