If you're staying in the party town of the east and want to chill out a little then you have to head towards the marina for the evening, so sophisticated and pretty, and you've got a great choice of places to eat as well.

Amazing castle and what a wonderful museum, I had no idea it was there! We just thought let's walk to that castle and then when we arrived the museum sucked us in and showed us some amazing things!!

Ok, so there's not all that much left of it today but it's amazing to stand right there on the site of one of the wonders of the ancient world, and all just a short stroll from where you are on holiday.

I decided to head to Bodrum for a bit of cheap off-season diving and was very pleasantly surprised. The volcanic islands off the coast are so interesting to explore, there's reefs and caves and hot springs! A great cheap holiday.

Here's one of the place where you really feel that the locals and the tourists mingle, the market is vibrant and exciting and the fabrics are gorgeous. I bought way too much (got a little carried away) to make all sorts of things for my house, and a couple of clothing bits too!
