I'd been to the Bodrum Castle before but somehow missed this tower completely.. This tower is the final resting place of Queen Ada in 340 BC! Amazingly old and really interesting.

ENORMOUS! A really big and fun place, it's a bit pricey to get in but you can easily spend the whole day playing in the rides and sunbathing as a whole family, just remember to take food and drink with you.

Dominating Bodrum's harbourside it's a must-see on your trip. Lovely building, interestingly made using many of the stones of the Mausoleum of Helicarnassus, and such a good museum inside too, all about underwater archaeology.

We hired a car this year on our holiday in Bodrum and explored the area a bit. We thought Bodrum's beaches were pretty good but the best in the area are definitely in Torba, over on the north coast, not a long drive at all.

North of Bodrum, the coast is very close the other way!

Every time I go to Turkey i'm impressed with the food, absolutely delicious seafood, although expect to pay top dollar if you want to eat on the seafront. And what better to have to drink than Raki, the local liqueur made from grapen, raisins and anise?! Potent but delicious.
