It was quite a long drive but definitely worth it. Ephesus is simply the best archaeological site in the world and it's astonishingly well preserved.

Well you can't pass up the chance to see one of the seven wonders of the ancient world when you're on holiday can you?! Shame there isn't as much to see as I'd thought but you can still get the picture, and it's pretty cool to be there.

Ok, so there's not all that much left of it today but it's amazing to stand right there on the site of one of the wonders of the ancient world, and all just a short stroll from where you are on holiday.

Most of the bits of this famous monument (one of the 7 ancient wonders) are now in the castle, whilst other bits are at the british museum, but it;s still really exciting to come to the site and see the foundations and all the cool bits of stone they've found just lying about. You can truly appreciate the size once you've been there!
