The Old North Church played an important part in the American Revolution. In 1775, it was from this church that lanterns were used as a signal from Paul Revere that "The British are coming." This was the fateful beginning of the American Revolution, and this church played an integral part. This is one of American's most historical sites, and I like it because you can feel yourself transported back to the mid-1700s and almost feel what it was like to live in Colonial times. This is a good place for children to visit, since they study this crucial even in their history classes, so in essence, history is brought to light here. The church is small, but there is a lot to see. The guides are knowledgeable and you get a great tour. Don't miss this if you're in Boston.
