This is a monument that is seen for miles around. You climb to the top (many stairs) and you can see for miles. It is a slice of American history from the Revolutionary war period. It gives you a sense of the past. You will also enjoy the small museum on the grounds for further exploration.

This monument commemorates the Battle of Bunker Hill, the first time U.S. Colonial forces held their own against the British army. Today a 221-foot granite obelisk denotes the site of the first major battle of the American Revolution. Visitors can climb the 294 steps leading to the pinnacle to get a breathtaking view of the city of Boston. Admission is FREE.
