I've always been obsessed with the idea of seeing whales in the wild and this opportunity didn't dissapoint. They have a purpose built boat with lots of viewing decks so that you can get the best possible view. There's a high chance that you'll get to see humpback whales as they're the species who are most comfortable with being on the surface.

The Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is the oldest koala sanctuary in the world. It is also one of the few that allow you to hold the animals which is a lovely experience and controlled to ensure that its fair to the animals. There are also kangaroos, echidnas, Tazmanian devils and a diverse range of birdlife. A great outing for families
