Whale watching

posted by wbeard on 5 August 2010 at 17:16

I've always been obsessed with the idea of seeing whales in the wild and this opportunity didn't dissapoint. They have a purpose built boat with lots of viewing decks so that you can get the best possible view. There's a high chance that you'll get to see humpback whales as they're the species who are most comfortable with being on the surface.

The Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is the oldest koala sanctuary in the world. It is also one of the few that allow you to hold the animals which is a lovely experience and controlled to ensure that its fair to the animals. There are also kangaroos, echidnas, Tazmanian devils and a diverse range of birdlife. A great outing for families

Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary

This is a really great park where you can view natural Australian wildlife up close. You can feed the Kangaroos and hold the baby koala bears. The also have a sheep dog show that gives a great education into that area of the working outback farm. It was captivating all day long for our family of teens and grandparents.

Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary

Who doesn't like ... or LOVE, koala bears? This is the place to go to see these cuddly little creatures up close and personal in the world's only koala sanctuary. In addition to koalas, you will be able to see kangaraoos and other Aussie wildlife in a beautiful, outdoor environment. This is a perfect family attraction that will bring a smile to everyone's face. A big recommendation!
