Ritz Carlton Cancun

If you want to really splash out when you're in Cancun, this is definitely the place to do it and you certainly get what you pay for. The whole hotel is imaculate with a great outdoor pool and hot tub, a fantastic restaurant and vast rooms of marble and crystal chandeliers. My one criticism would be that there is nothing even slightly Mexican about this hotel. It's entirely International jet set chic.

Westin Lagunamar Ocean Resort

This is a great hotel, though it breaks the bank just as badly as other Cancun hotels! There are wonderful ocean and lagoon biews, a really well kept private beach and really personal and friendly service. They also organise some great package trips. I definitely recommend this resort.

Ritz-Carlton Cancun

The Ritz-Carlton Cancun is probably the nicest place to stay when in Cancun. When i traveled to Cancun it was around spring break which is a nightmare if that is not what you are there for. But at least at the Ritz the college crowd was not that big of an influence there. So if you are traveling around a college break time of the year and don't want to be inundated with drunken teens it is worth the price for that alone. The hotel is typical Ritz in amenities rooms, service etc. Which means greatness. The only problem that I had when I was here is that the service is a bit too "in your face" Plates cleared before you are done, you look a little hot, somebody is spraying Evian in your face. But they mean well.

Puerto Morelos

A modest and peaceful resort a few kilometers South of Cancun. Beautiful beaches that are much less crowded than those of it's better known neighbour.
