This is my favourite part of Cape Town, with is narrow streets, cobbles and super-brightly coloured houses. It's so interesting to walk around, you'll find loads of little places to eat, shops, and the oldest mosque in the country too.

where, when, how, web
train Kaapstad, then walk towards signal hill (the hill!)

With great restaurants, markets, shops and other great places to go as well as awesome views this was my favourite place to come when i had free days on my working holiday in cape town. from just sitting in a cafe reading and watching to world to the more splurge-the-cash aquarium visit i loved finding new things every time.

on the northern edge of the city, just next to table bay harbour
