My wife and I had a very nice trip to this museum. There are so many lovely gold pieces, mainly from africa but some from across the world too. The oldest pieces were the most interesting but then again some of the newer pieces were delightful. The workshop was great, the connection between old and new carrying on the obsession with gold and africa.

Robben Island is a must for any visitor to Cape Town. It's where Nelson Mandela served out his sentence during the apartheid eraand now houses an informative museum.

Cultural History museum is one of the oldest buildings in Cape town. Formerly it was called as Slave lodge since in 1679 it has served as the lodge for slaves of the Dutch Company. Today it was one of the famous tourist spots in South Africa. It contains ancient Egyptian, Greek and Roman antiquities, collection of stamps and weapons of 19th century.

While not necessarily appropriate for young children, the Slave Lodge in Cape Town, South Africa is a museum that is so moving, that it should not be missed. While experiencing this museum, I learned a lot about the slave trade, and the affects that it had in Africa in general, and Cape Town in particular.
