Table Mountain Aerial Cableway

Breathtaking and magnificent are the words that come to mind after taking a trip to the top of Table Mountain. This is one of the most spectacular views you will ever see from the top of any mountain (and I've been to several). As you ascend to the top in the rotating cable car, you are able to take in the entire landscape of Cape Town and the surrounding area. The ride is about 10 minutes, but it goes by quickly. Once you get to the top, there is a great little cafe where you can get a good meal while still enjoying the view. There are also several nature walks at the top of the mountain, which provides opportunities to see local flower, fauna and animal life. This is a great family activity and one point of interest you won't soon forget.

A great View

Try to plan to be on top of Table Mountain when in the evening round about sunset. The view is absolutely stunning as it is overlooking the whole city. Take the cable car going down as it would be getting dark very quickly and walking down in the dark wouldn’t be too safe! Exquisite view!
