Shedd Aquarium

What a wonderful place. We spent a large part of our holiday at the museum campus and the aquarium was the highlight. The ocearnarium is sooooo huge you have to see it to believe it, and the caribbean reef was most definitely the highlight for me.

Shedd Aquarium

The impressive old facade belies the exciting and modern exhibits inside but does set the tone for an unusual experience. I loved this aquarium, and the oceanarium in the new extension was fabulous, so huge! Can you believe they used to transport saltwater by train from Florida for the fish?
