These iconic buildings are a must-see for anyone interested in modern architecture. Their sleek glass and steel construction is renowned for its beautiful form and proportions and I think they are truly beautiful.

I have seen plenty of Frank Gehry's work across the world and love it (The Dancing House in Prague, Guggenheim in Bilbao, Bronze Fish in Barcelona) so I had to go to this park and see the pavilion, which is totally fabulous. The park itself is great too.

Chicago Cultural Centre

My boyfriend and I decided to just pop in and see the stunning interior of the building, particularly the world's largest tiffany stained glass dome, which was amazing...but then we started to look at all the events and found ourselves watching 'The Gift Of Laughter', voice actors reading classic scripts, which was great!!

Art Institute of Chicago

There's so much more to see here than you can manage in a day, so i'd advise either going to the original wing, or the modern wing. I went to the modern wing, an amazing building, a fabulous sculpture terrace and a great collection of modern works. Nearby Milennium Park beckons for some natural relaxation after the artistic contemplation.

Oak Park

This is a suburb of Chicgo, about ten miles out of the centre of town. It's famous for the large number of Frank Loyd Wright houses located here. It's also known a popular destination for Ernest Hemmingway fans as his birth house is located here. You can get some headphones which will guide you around 15 Frank Loyd Wright buildings. Particularly worth seeing is the Unity temple.
