I have to say we went here twice, once to get a good look at the city we would be exploring, and then again to try and spot places we'd been!! I managed to look at 'The Ledge' but i'm way too much of a chicken to actually be stepping out on to that thing!

Lovely park, great for taking a stroll in after breakfast. YOu get a wonderful view of the skyline and I love the mosaic that leads to the river. All round it's great to stop by!

Sears (Willis) Tower

I just love this magnificent building, I never knew it was 9 skyscrapers in 1 until I saw it up close. The skydeck is amazing, and although my boyfriend made it out onto the "ledge" I was far too afraid!!

Willis Tower Skydeck AKA Sears Tower

103 floors up is awfully high, even for a hardened city tower-block dweller like myself! You can see an unbelievable amount, apart from the people and vehicles down below which all seem incomprehensively small!! The kids' eye leve cutouts are so interesing and the Skyledge went down (so to speak) so well with by best friend who loves being up high!

Oak Street Beach

Once the sun comes out in Chicage this is THE place to be, so get there early to grab your spot on the sand. After a summer in Chicago I have come to love this beach and the lovely cool waters of Lake Michigan, just the ticket for the hot, the tired or the weary.
