Lincoln Zoo

This place just blew our tiny little minds, it's so amazing and free. It's a great zoo with lovely animals and the setting is so wonderful too with really old buildings but a great modern feel as well. I can't rave about it enough, so impressive.

Wildlife Prairie State Park

Went here with the kids in tow and we had a great day, so many new animals to see and learn about they were enthralled. This huge park lets them have lots of space too which is always nice to see. There's so much to do you really need a full day, and even then if you get carried away you won't see it all.

Just outside Peoria, we were visiting relatives in Bloomington so if you want to go you could consider staying nearby

Lincoln Park Zoo

This is a great area park that has animals and a boardwalk. It is easy to come here and you can stay all day for free. There is no entrance fee! It is also near the lake so there are plenty of things to do!
