Sinarades is a really beautiful village in the middle west of Corfu . It's one of the larger villages that we went through on the island but is still very traditional traditional, with an old fashioned style of life and architecture. We stopped for a coffee in Stellios's Taverna and weht to the Aerostatos viewing point for incredible views of the coast. A really nice detour.

A regal view in every sense. This was one of the favourite spots of the last emperor of Prussia who would come here to enjoy the sight of the sun sinking into the Mediterranean. We decided to do the same, and it was definitely worth the steep ascent to the top. If you squint hard enough you can make out Old Corfu below.

This monastery is a great sight. It perches on the hill top above the resort of Paleokastritsa and is composed of a series of orange buildings which sit against a backdrop of wild flowers. Whilst the Monastery might feel like any other tourist attraction, it is still a very holy place and some discretion is required.
