We went here for a day trip which included the Minoan palace nearby, lunch in the charming town and then an afternoon on the beach and everyone had a great time.

Considered one of the most aunthentically Cretan villages on the island, we had to go and see for ourselves. Lovely spot, great food and wonderful views.

The south coast of Crete is somewhat forgetten about and so it's the perfect place if you want a peaceful, relaxed and cheaper holiday. This beach was our favourite with its picturesque cliffs and lovely still bay just great for the kids.

As a student of religion I really enjoy visiting monasteries and the like, and this is a beautiful specimen. Delightful place, wonderful little museum with icons and garments etc plus a great spot with lovely views.
