You can't really escape these in Malaga and neither should you wish to as they are the star attraction in my book! Fun places to walk around and great views to boot.

I went to Berlin to visit and old friend and she's laid on a real treat! You have to make an advance booking to go to this amazing fort, one of the oldest buildings in Berlin, but it's truly a remarkable place.

You can't go to Malaga and not come here can you? It towers above the place and even when you're on the beach you feel like you ought to go! And it's pretty fantastic, the building, the views, wow.

Wonderful Byzantine architecture, what an interesting place. Don't forget to visit again in the evening so that you can enjoy it all tastefully illuminated.

What an extraordinary place! One time mausoleum, the fortress was then taken over by the papacy and it became part of the city walls, with an extra hidden passage to the vatican. Inside, you can see these different uses and the papal apartments are astonishingly ornate and decorated, particularly for a fortress they'd have retreated to in fear!
