MY wife and I went on this tour and we loved it. We went down the corniche (beach road) which was stunning, and then got the see the Al Majarra Souk, as well as the New Souk and the huge Faisal Mosque. Fun and cultural, really good.

In addition to being a hot spot of the rich and famous jetsetters, Dubai has an amazing and rich culture that its visitors should also take the time to experience. The best place to do this is to explore the Dubai Museum. I only spent a few hours at this museum, located in a restored fort, but you get a good appreciation for daily life in Dubai and the people who live it.

The Dubai Museum is unique in that it is a history of Dubai museum that's history is less than 50 years old. So there is not a lot of "material" to work with. And some things like the treatment of women over their history is glossed over. But they try. There is a nice video wall, and all these dioramas. The place gets packed with lots of tour buses and of course the museum ends in a gift shop (they all do now a days).
