Dubai Shopping Festival

Huge event! It was amazing, we went for the shopping festival, which ended in Feb, and then stayed in the sun for another month. I bought so much, the festival was so much fun! Discounts everywhere, mad crowds, great events fun all round.

We didn't even visit Dubai but we ended up doing most of out present shopping here. We'd been in the far East and transitted in Dubai which airport. We were stuck there for about five hours though that time really flew by. The shopping is extraordinary!

Textile Souq

You can get to feel that Dubai is a bit cold and hard edged and lacking in a culture of its own. The textile souq is the place to go to see the traditional Arabian culture alive and well in the heart of the modern city. Fabrics here come from across Asia and you can buy pashminas, saris and shawls as well as cuts of silk and other textiles. Be sure to haggle and drive a hard bargain.

Lamcy Plaza

My daughter and I actually shopped til we dropped here it was AMAZING, and we earned air miles (for flying back to shop here more, presumably is what they hope we'll do, and tbh it seems quitle likely!) on all our purchases. Great place must-see when you go to Dubai next.

The best shopping mall in Dubai for high class, high quality fashion. Strictly originals, no fakes. It does get really busy at the weekends. It is also the home of Ski Dubai - the indoor ski slope!
