Dubai Municipality Museum

The Dubai Municipality Museum’s construction was started in late 50’s. Till 1964 it was the headquarters of Dubai Municipality. Later the Municipality office was moved to another building. As the building was having importance in the Municipality history as well as its location amidst the commercial market near the bay (Dubai Creek) it was turned into Museum in 2006. It opened up its halls & exihibits the documents which tells the history of the period during which the Municipality was established. The Museum remains closed on every Friday.

Naif Fort

Naif Fort was the first headquarter of Dubai Police. It was built in a strategic location in the main commercial district in Deira, Dubai. It was also used as Prison. It acted as the public office of the public prosecution & the civil courts. The Fort is built by a special clay material called Al Madar, which is famous for its cohesive qualities. The first part built of the tower was its towers, called as Al Makbad, it was partly used as a jail for criminals. Sheikh Rashid ordered the construction of the fort in 1939. The fort was used as a accommodation place of the chief of Dubai Police. The historic gun is kept in the courtyard of the fort. The fort was the first training center for the Police Personnel, with first batch starting in 1956.

Jumeirah Mosque

The beautiful Jumeirah Mosque is located in the northern end of the Jumeirah Beach Road in Dubai. It is the city’s largest Mosque. It’s a good example of modern Islamic architecture. After sundown when the floodlit is done the real beauty of the Mosque is seen. It has become one of the most loved place for the visitors due to its unique construction style. Visitors are allowed to visit the mosque from 10.00 am in the morning on every Sunday & Thursday.

Hatta is a Outskirt Historical town situated in the foothills of the majestic Hajar Mountains of Dubai. The Hatta Fort Hotel is a peaceful, with stunning mountanious views is a perfect place for going on weekend. The main attractive thing is Hatta Rock Pools which are 20 Km away from Hatta. Hatta reveals how life was in past before modernisation with traditional fort, mud houses & stone buildings. It has become one of the heritage village of Dubai.

Dubai Museum

The building of Dubai Museum which is also known as Al Fahidi Fort was built in the year 1799. At the entrance of the Dubai Museum there is a great collection of old maps which exhibits urban expansion of Dubai in the year 1960 & 1980. In the Museum visitors can have a look at rich culture & heritage of Dubai. Contents of the Dubai Museum includes trip to desert life, traditional Arabian homes, mosques, fishing, pearl diving and trade,musical instruments & deadly weapons.
