Wow, the views from the observation deck on the 124th floor were A-MAZING! It was a bit terrifying being outside at that height but luckily it wasn't too windy! You have to do this!!

Trekking

We took a day out to join a trekking group and it was amazing, I had no idea what the countryside around Dubai was like, even though i'm a regular visitor. Hard work, and hot, but such fun.

A great place to excape the madness that seems to be Dubai! I love its fakery but sometimes it gets too much and then i'm glad that I can go here to chill in the beautiful surroundings.

Burj al Arab Restaurant.

There's a restaurant on the 27th floor of the Burj al Arab - this is really the 54th storey as each floor represents two storeys of suites. THere are some amazing 360 degrees views out over the town and the coastline and you get a great view of some of the weird and fantastically expensive engineering projects underway in Dubai.

For our anniversary, my husband booked us on the Seawings Pearl tour and it was AMAZING. They treated us really well and the views, oh! so great, the time just flew by. You really get what the palm tree is all about from up there!
