Not just your average library, this has a huge collection dating way back in history with egyptian papyrus and old illustrated qur'ans. The joy doesn't stop with books though as there are lots of other things to see like costumes, artworks and miniatures. A great place to spend a rainy afternoon!

Whenever I feel my heart get a bit down I go here as there's always something good to look at or interesting to learn. My kids love the weekend workshops and I can't get enough of the lectures and the concerts, this is my favourite place in Dublin.

A really interesting and informative place to visit, Dublinia tells the story of Dublins histoty to invasion by anglo-normans to the 1500s, complete with a huge model of Dublin at this time. Loads of different mediums are used to tell the story with aretefacts, videos and interactive stuff too so the kids will stay interested.
