If you can escape the interminable operators you will have a graet time here! My boys were transfixed and the railway is very impressive indeed! AND it's housed in a castle!!

Dublin Castle

Probably the least castle-like castle you'll ever see, but then this isn't the original since that one burned down. It's fabulous outside and inside though, with the state apartments being a must-see, particularly if you're a fan of 'Becoming Jane' like me!

Dublin Castle

The Dublin Castle, is a 12th century castle that was primarily used for kings and queens, British rulers, Parliament, Courts of Justice and military garrisons. In modern times it became used for government offices and presidential inaugurations. The back side of the castle has a fabulous garden, including a stained glass fountain and a memorial to Veronica Guerin, who was assinated in 1996 for trying to bring down Dublin's crimeworld. Overall, this is a great place to visit if you're a history buff.

Dublin Castle

Always interested in the history of Ireland, when I was visiting Dublin I felt a strong desire to visit Dublin Castle. Parts of it is over 700 years old, and has a strong significance in Irish history as it served as the seat of the Irish monarchy for many years. The tour is very informative about both the history of the Castle, and Ireland itself.
