A good quality and quaint and artsy restaurant. It is located above a retail shop and is a pleasant surprise of great food and great spirits with a very friendly staff. A focus on vegetarian and fresh meals, with local meat and seafood dishes available.

The Morgan Hotel

posted by Shaon on 7 August 2009 at 12:15

Hospitality of The Morgan Hotel is what will definitely make me go back to the hotel sometime soon. The staffs and the management are very friendly and duty conscious, with the intention of making the guests feel very comfortable. Located in the midst of pubs, restaurants and shops, it could get noisy at times but for those who love company, it should not matter as much. The room that I stayed in was normal sized had a balcony. The quality of the furniture can definitely be improved as most of it is old or broken.

Kilmainham Gaol Historical Museum

posted by DVC_Chris on 4 August 2009 at 23:57

While Dublin is an incredibly rich city culturally, one of the most moving experiences that I had when visiting it was taking the time to see the Kilmainham Gaol Historical Museum. This museum served as a prison in the 19th century, and is the site where many of the leaders of the Easter Rebellion of 1916 were imprisoned, and later executed. For any fans of Irish history, it is a must see.

Dublin Castle

posted by ashleyhotmama on 5 July 2009 at 05:27

The Dublin Castle, is a 12th century castle that was primarily used for kings and queens, British rulers, Parliament, Courts of Justice and military garrisons. In modern times it became used for government offices and presidential inaugurations. The back side of the castle has a fabulous garden, including a stained glass fountain and a memorial to Veronica Guerin, who was assinated in 1996 for trying to bring down Dublin's crimeworld. Overall, this is a great place to visit if you're a history buff.
