The Brazen Head

posted by DVC_Chris on 4 June 2009 at 22:36

One of the things I love most about Ireland is its culture, especially its music and its stories. That is why when I was recently in Dublin, I really enjoyed the night I spent at the Brazen Head, which is the city’s oldest pub. During the time I spent there, the food was good, the beer plentiful, and the entertainment outstanding.

The Irish House Party

posted by irishiiiiiis on 8 May 2009 at 14:35

The Irish House Party takes place in the private parlour room of a beautiful family owned Georgian building. You will first enjoy a nice 4 course dinner then you will be entertained by Irish musicians, story tellers and of course Irish dancers. Having gone to a few of these type of shows, I have to say this one is the best. At the end of the night they invite people up to the stage to entertain, and you will be surprised at how many step dancer wanna bees are out there! This was great for some laughs and actually some talent was in the audience.

Traditional Irish Music Pub Crawl, Dublin

posted by gsteele on 2 May 2009 at 13:11

This traditional Irish Music Pub Crawl is a very fun night. The cost for the pub crawl is currently 12 Euros. The "crawl" starts at John Gogarty Pub in the Temple Bar District of Dublin. In each of the 3 pubs that you visit the group has a private room. The two tour guides assigned to our pub crawl provide the entertainment as well. They give you a a little history lesson along with some great Irish music. You then leave for the Ha Penny Bar and again the group has their own private room. The tour ends at Brannigans Beer emporium where they opened up the entertainment to the group. It was a lot of fun, just wish it was longer.
