The Jazz Bar is just of Nicholson street and is open every night of the week. The house band usually play on Mondays and are very good for a house band in a small jazz bar. On Tuesdays there are open mic nights which boasts a high standard. The rest of the week seems to have no fixed schedule with different things going on every week. Saturdays are especially good fun.

We'd heard that there was a tradition of pub crawls on Rose Street so we though we'd give it a go. There's nothing specific organised, I suppose it's just more of a status symbol to say that you've managed it. None of my group did! There are about 20 pubs crammed into this one short street and just thinking about drinking a pint in each of them now makes me feel a little ill. You do however get a good cross section of Edinburgh's drinking establishments from the posh and pretentious to the downright filthy.

Chicken Tikka is an Indian delicacy that's made by roasting spiced tender chicken nuggets in open fire. It's lip smacking tasty & is served with Indian Mint sauce.
