Jazz Bar

The Jazz Bar is just of Nicholson street and is open every night of the week. The house band usually play on Mondays and are very good for a house band in a small jazz bar. On Tuesdays there are open mic nights which boasts a high standard. The rest of the week seems to have no fixed schedule with different things going on every week. Saturdays are especially good fun.

Cabaret Voltaire

There's no real standing on ceremony at Cabaret Voltaire. It's a dank, dingy, smelly, subterranean dance club. It does however attract some of the best djs in Edinburgh and on Tuesday and Wednesday nights puts on free drum n bass and electronica nights
