The most that I liked about the Barcelo Edinburgh Carlton Hotel is it's location as it is just a few minutes away to Princess street and the Royal Mile. The food had some amazing options to choose from, which would cater to most of the guests for sure. As for the facilities provided by the hotel, they were all good with the Gym being my favored facility in use. The staff are very friendly and are managed by an excellent management. The other guests are quite friendly and I did make so good friends during my stay.

I had the opportunity to stay in the MacDonald Holyrood Hotel for about 5 days. I got a very good rate for my room, thanks to the helpful manager at the front desk as I did not have a reservation. The room was large with a comfortable double bed. The breakfast in the morning was fabulous with plenty of options in food to choose from. The staffs were splendid, as every small request that I had, was taken care by them. The view from the room was fantastic as I could see the Arthur's Seat right out the window. Overall, a decent stay.

I had the opportunity to stay in The Bank Hotel during a weekend and it was a very worthy stay. The room was very clean and had a large comfortable bed. The Housekeeping staffs were very efficient at their work and so are the other members of the staff. The location is very good as it is on Royal Mile but can be quite noisy as the hotel is above and next to a few bars. Breakfast was good but could have been a little better in terms of taste. It's location is the biggest plus point of the hotel and I would recommend this hotel for a short stay.

During my recent visit to Edinburgh, I stayed in the Ten Hill Place Hotel. The hotel is located 15 minutes away from Princess St. and 10 minutes from the Royal mile. The hotel is very clean from the inside and the management takes excellent care of it's guests. The rooms are of standard size, with good, comfortable beds. The locality of the hotel is filled with internet cafes as it has lot of students living in that area. Breakfast was good. The hotel is affordable and provides decent facilities.

Edinburgh boasts of some very nice hotels, of which the Royal British Hotel is one of them. I had a chance to stay there for 5 days and it was definitely worth it. The room had few chairs, a bed and a couch. Breakfast had several options to choose from the continental type or the British type. The castle and the hill could be seen from my room which was a pleasure to watch. Centrally located on Princess Street, commuting was very easy as the Waverly Station was nearby.
