Puerto del Rosario

My favourite place on the island as you can really enjoy the authenticity of this, the capital. There are beaches too so you won't be left just walking about the urbanised areas.

El Cotillo

For me, El Cotillo is the best of both worlds! Wonderful beaches are paired with a small harbour where local fishermen land their catches with bars and restuarants aplenty. If you go, be sure also to walk up the tower, or even to the lighthouse.

West beaches

My boyfriend and I hired a 4 wheel drive jeep thingy this time so we could explore the beaches of the west of the island and it was the most fantastic experience, so many great beaches, and perfect isolation for most of the time.

Puerto del Rosario

I think the capital is a bit overlooked in favour of the beaches and I wanted to recommend going there! The nighlife is pretty fun and it's pretty cool to just walk around a bit and soak up the culture before giving in and heading to the capital's beaches!

Fuerteventura Zoo

posted by shravyayampala on 18 July 2009 at 06:01

There is one zoo in safari park. This is man made tourist attraction on island. The zoo is located in La Lajita. A small fishing village. There are black sandy beaches. In zoo there are 200 species of birds, monkeys, lizards and crocodiles and many more. Children will enjoy this trip. You will find many other things to enjoy and natural beauty.
