For me, El Cotillo is the best of both worlds! Wonderful beaches are paired with a small harbour where local fishermen land their catches with bars and restuarants aplenty. If you go, be sure also to walk up the tower, or even to the lighthouse.

We made a day of it here, with a lovely picnic lunch in the beautiful gardens then a delicious local meal in La Lajita itself. The zoo we have been to before and is great, pretty animals, lovely parrot shows and the most awesome of all is the camel safaris! A must-do!

La Lajita is a small village on the east/south coast of the island, we hired a car but i think some resorts offer tours

A really good resort, it looks good, the food is good as there is more a focus on german food than the normal rubbish english fare, and the windsurfing is great, i always stay here when I come for fuerteventura, going where the deals are!

This resort is situated in an excellent location in the tourist area of Caleta de Fuste . The resort is very located near the beach, local shopping etc. It was renovated in the 2007. It is 84 apartment resort. The food is very spicy and delicious. The children's play ground is very attractive. I can say best place to spend time in resort. There is wonder full view of beach.

Tommy Nutters English Bar & Restaurant in Fuerteventura, Canary Islands, Spain is a bit of home when you are far away. They have affordable prices and massive portions. They offer typical English fare for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, in a casual and friendly atmosphere. You will want to eat there again and again. It is an enjoyable and relaxing place.
