We stayed right near here and it was lovely to take a morning stroll around whilst planning our itnierary, or to head to for a little sit in the evening before we went back to our room. The architecture is very pretty and it has a grand and stately feel to it.

On summer nights it's possible to catch concerts in the open air courtyard of thehotel du ville. Its a beautiful little medieval courtyard as it is and nothing could be nicer than sitting here with a glass of wine and listening to some jazz or classical music.

I stumbled across this church one day when I was wondering around Geneva. It's a really beautiful place and quite an unusual sight in a city that feels otherwise quite slick and modern. I think it dates back to the 19th century when there was a large Orthodox community based in Geneva.

There are some lovely sights to be seen in the old town of Geneva. amongst these, the St Pierre Cathedral is definitely a highlight. It's free to get in though its worth paying the fee to climb the spire for the views. Place du Borg de Four is a lovely little square and has some great cafes and restaurants from which to do some people watching. The Town Hall is worth seeing too

Being a history buff, when I visited Geneva, Switzerland I wanted to check out the Palais des Nations. While it serves as the offices of the United Nations in Switzerland today, it was originally built for the forerunner of the modern UN, the League of Nations. Aside from the architectural beauty of the building, the entire facility is a place of hope for a better future for all mankind.
