Museum of Art and History

This museum confirmed to me that I really am a fine arts kinda gal, with the renaissance to modern paintings really interesting me far more than the archaeological items or the applied arts section. What a wonderful place though, such a selection!!

Patek Philippe Museum

As an avid watch collector this is a fabulous place to go, and judging by my long-suffering wife's opinion too it's quite interesting for those with just a casual relationship with the tiny faces. The antique collection was of particular interest to me as you can really see the history or watch-making unfold right there in Geneva.

Barbier-Mueller Museum

A simply stunning collection of works of art from Tribal and Classical Antiquity as well as sculptures, fabrics and ornaments from "primitive" civilisations around the world. Many of these works are considered to be unqualified masterpieces.

Barbier-Mueller Museum

What a delightful place, the artefacts have all been collected by one man (and now his heirs) which gives a great cohesion to the collection. I enjoyed the things from the isolated civilisations the best, particularly those from Indonesia. All round a stunning and eye-opening place to go
