Mandarin Oriental du Rhone

If you're willing to pay the difference, this hotel is a real cut above the rest. It's on the banks of the Rhone and has some lovely views. There are several excellent restaurants, including a really outstanding curry restaurant. There's also a fitness centre, my one complaint would be the lack of swimming pool...

This is a fairly pokey establishment and probably worth avoiding. The hotel itself isn't that bad, mediocre rooms, food and service but the location is really the decisive feature. Its sandwiched between a very muslim area and the red light district which is a culture clash to say the least. There are regular brawls, vomit in the streets and general seediness. Avoid.

Warwick Geneva Hotel

This is actually a fairly mediocre place but we really enjoyed our stay, the rooms are comfy and large and the staff are friendly. The greatest recomendation for this place though is that it won't break the bank and it's within easy distance of the train station, lake and most of the sttractions of central Geneva.

Bristol Hotel

This place was a bit of a let down to be honest an I would recommend you carry on looking if this is where you were thinking of staying. It's a bank breaker with none of the service, cleanliness and general sheen you might expect. In addition, the food is quite inedible.
